The Game of Life®

vaca107Colleen, Grace, and Zach were playing The Game of Life® the other day. It was Zach’s first time to play. And since he is just three years old there were some obvious challenges for the girls to maintain their sanity and interest in the game.

One bright spot came when Zach had to choose between two occupations. One of the jobs was a veterinarian, which is the one Zach naturally chose. When Colleen asked him if he wanted to be an animal doctor, he said, “No, I want to be an animal.”

My Kid’s Make Me Smile

Zach-Popeye-20140817Just received this txt from Colleen:

Z’s latest quote: “I’m perfect.”

That made me smile because he is perfect . . . for us. He’s the child God gave us to love and care for and teach the ways of the Lord. He’s also the child God gave us to teach us more about Him.

Zach is a full-energy boy and keeps us on our toes, and we love him.

In the picture at the left, he’s doing his best Popeye face after he danced his way through our Scrabble board, which jumbled all the letters and frustrated all the players.

Happy First Birthday, Zach!

Yesterday was Zach’s first birthday. One of his gifts was a t-ball set that looked pretty interesting . . . to me. He, on the other hand, demonstrated something we hear all the time: “Kids are more interested in the packaging than the contents!”

Zach’s First Game

Last Friday, we took Zach to his first baseball game. He didn’t have any clue where he was, but it was fun for us.
